K Is For Kidneys, located in the heart of the Carolinas, is a charitable foundation dedicated to helping children with chronic kidney disease. With the dedication of our volunteers, staff members, and partners, we strive to improve the lives of children who need help within the community. We partner with the Pediatric Nephrology Center of Excellence at Levine Children's Hospital.

What We Do
Karaoke for Kidneys
When our daughter, Elowen, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, she and her two older sisters, Kate and Lulu, decided to host a neighborhood talent show. They wanted to raise money and buy toys for the patients at Levine Children's Hospital. Over the years, the backyard talent show has grown into a lovely, annual, community event. You'll find Elowen, Kate and Lulu gladly rockin' a chorus of their favorite karaoke jam.

Koins for Kidneys
Each year, Koins for Kidneys helps to raise money and celebrate National Kidney Month. Volunteers, from around Charlotte, distribute a Koins for Kidneys collection tote. We gather the coins and use those funds to provide financial support for families throughout the Carolinas. The funds help off-set the costs of travel expenses while children are receiving treatment at the Pediatric Nephrology Center of Excellence.
